Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 3:20

I am not content to be average. I don’t like that word. I don’t want to be average. I don’t intend to be average.

It’s true that in this life we go through challenges, we pass through situations, hardships… But God is above everything, because His power is above all powers.

God can, we can and let’s get this: The ball is on our court. Let’s be  bold, let’s dare to believe and be brave. We have that power because God has given it to us.

I recently read a post from Ashley Gulley  with the title No Guts, No Glory’ and it definitely relates to what I mean by not being content with average. Sometimes, we have to get out of our comfort zones, dare and believe that we can achieve all things because there’s a mightier and greater power in control. When you fully let go, and make God the wheel, you realize then that the actions of the Almighty aren’t just natural but supernatural. The power of God is unlimited. As for me, I decided to believe God is able. Yes he is, he can!!!

Nothing is impossible for God. And believe it or not, I come from far, very far. My journey will never be yours. The only thing I can say is that whatever promise God has made to us, it shall come true. Keep faith and never you limit God by your mouth. Control your tongue no matter the noise around your corner, make sure whatever comes out from your mouth is a blessing for your surrounding

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.

Mark 10:27.

Stay blessed,

19’s Observations.

WATCH YOUR MOUTH!” is a phrase my siblings and I heard frequently from our parents during our developmental years. “WATCH YOUR MOUTH!” was used as a reminder for my siblings and I to stay within the communication boundaries of discipline, respect, honesty, and positivity established by our parents. I can only recall the phrase being used when we went contrary to our parents’ directives or if our words went against God’s commands.

Similar to a parent reminding a child to evaluate their words, God informs his children the power of their words and the importance of choosing words wisely. With our tongues we either speak; life or death, victory or defeat, insecurity or confidence, weakness or strength, trust or doubt, but whatever you say, be prepared to eat the fruit of your words.

There have probably been times in your life when you’ve said things that were hurtful towards yourself and others. When that happens it is vital to seek and receive God’s forgiveness, repent and thoughtfully give attention to your words from that point on.

It all starts with watching our mouth because the words we speak have long-lasting impact directly connected to our present and future circumstances. You’d be surprised how your words are effecting your situation.

Scripture reveals several accounts regarding individuals either watching their mouths or carelessly using words. In both cases we are shown the effect of the tongue’s power. Words can teach, encourage and uplift. They also can discourage, reject and demean. Words can express gratitude, love, and joy. They also can express selfishness, hate and despondency. Our aim is to speak what God says about our situations and not what our inconsistent emotions want us to declare.

No matter what is going on in your life today, it’s time to “WATCH YOUR MOUTH!” Don’t get distracted by the trial or the mirage that nothing will change, begin declaring God’s word. This is a work in progress that requires discipline, trust, and faith. But once you begin to get in the rhythm of using your words wisely in thanksgiving and praise to God, when the wrong words try to come out, you will be able to take action and bounce back to God’s words. Speak life and watch your mouth!

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Proverbs 18:21.

IMG_1907“As for you, my brothers and sisters, you were called to be free. But do not let this freedom become an excuse for letting your physical desires control you. Instead, let love make you serve one another.”

Galatians 5:13 GNB

Just because I can doesn’t always mean I should.

God has given us free will, meaning we are not stuck on a chain by him, we have The ultimate freedom to do whatever, but that does not mean you go crazy or please the world in negative ways, please the lord in positive ways by spreading love, exemplifying him, through you, Amen.

This reminds me of the global conversation about freedom of speech. It is a great liberty to be able to say things and be persecuted for them: our beliefs, our dissatisfaction with elected leaders (who cannot jail and kill us for doing so!), and to express ourselves.

At the core however, is something deeper: the Word. Love one another, with our deeds and words. Real affection, whenever possible, is a choice sometimes difficult to make but at the core of Jesus’s teaching.

One day spent in your Temple

“One day spent in your Temple is better than a thousand anywhere else; I would rather stand at the gate of the house of my God than live in the homes of the wicked.”

Psalms 84:10

“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.”

As great are some of the places we can visit, or the experiences we can have on earth, even a thousand of those cannot compare to one day in God’s presence! He grants us favor in the eyes of others and holds back no good thing from those whose hearts fully seek Him! May He grant us the grace to fully grasp and experience the richness of these truths!

How to be the same in hard times as we are in good times. That does not mean we are going to feel the same way in both times but it does mean we do not have to take our hard times or difficulties on somebody else. We still have to keep our commitments, keep giving, worshipping, praying. Well there are some things that we cannot do that only God can do. When you do not know what to do, keep doing what you know how to do.

Stand strong in God, stand strong in every season of life.

John16:33 -Jesus said there was going to be tribulation, and when it comes, cheer up. The devil wants your joy because he is aware that the joy of the Lord is your strength. If he can get you sad, depressed, discouraged, negative, critical, complaining, jealous of everyone, then he’s won. But the real trick for you is to throw your best shot and stand strong in God.

Have that attitude of professing that you can do those things through the grace of God, whether easy or hard; you can do what God wants you to do even if you do not understand what is going on in your life.

Stand strong in God.

1 Timothy 6: 12 -Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and for which you confessed the good confession of faith before many witnesses.

Fighting the good fight in faith is different from any kind of physical fights that you may have had. Its not a fight that frustrates  you, its actually fighting from a position of rest and peace. It’s knowing that you’re fighting a battle that you’ve already won because Jesus said it is finished and all you are doing is working out on daily basis in your life.

Laying hold of eternal life to which you were summoned meaning living today for what God has promised us in eternity. You are never going to enjoy your life if you’re not living to fulfil God’s purpose for your life. If you’re just living to entertain yourself, then you’ll be miserable. But if you live for God, and live to make other people happy and spread love, you will be happy and you will be able to stand yourself.

2 Timothy 4:7 – I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Here I set the importance on finishing the race. Finish it, the bible says. It’s time to be strong. One way to be strong is by not thinking and talking about your problems all the time.  It does not do you any good.

Ephesians 6: 12. -For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood but against the despotisms, against powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly sphere.

Bottom line, we need to realise that in God, we can stand against the evil, we can resist him and have amazing, fruitful and happy lives but we cannot fight an enemy we pretend does not exist. Sometimes we blame our problems on people and do not even realise it’s the devil that is behind it all.

The true secret: you do not fight evil with evil. You do not return insults for insults; injury for injury; We let God take care of things, we forgive, we stay happy and pray that people will change. Even if someone hurt you ten years ago, you do not let them keep hurting you today.

Let God do what only God can do. It’s okay to enjoy your life while having a problem.

Jesus i want you, come in.

Leave all the ‘what ifs’ on the side, because God has taken control of your situation. It doesn’t make a difference how you start but what is important is how you finish. Finish your race.

Ephesians 6:13 – Therefore put God’s complete amor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day and having done all the crisis demands, stand firmly in your place. God tells us that his truth will protect us. That knowing who we are in Christ will protect us. When you get a problem, don’t ask ‘God do you love me?’  Tell yourself, God i know you love me. That’s when you say: Nothing can separate you from the love of God no matter what is happening in my life and he is not the source of my problems. There’s too much as stake to  juggle up and down, to quit when in times of crisis; just stand firm and strong in God.

Stand strong against the enemy. Resist the devil and he will flee. It’s got to be God and not us. When you are suffering, the more you can have a good time and laugh, not at your problem, but about life moments, the easier you deal with your problems. Stop thinking you cannot enjoy your life because you have problems going on.

A strong Christian who stands in Christ and works with God can enjoy life because its the will of God. Now that does not mean you’re leaving on vacation but all that means is you are living in the rest of God.

Finally, Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.
